Accessibility Statement
Effective from 1 August 2026
Clays Luxury Media Private Limited is committed to making claysluxury.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Luxury should not mean exclusion, and a site that cannot be read by a screen reader or navigated by keyboard is not a well-made site.
Standard we are working to
We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 sets out how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor and cognitive disabilities.
We consider the site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard. We have set that out honestly below rather than claim a level of conformance we have not yet reached.
What we have done
-
Structured every page with proper heading levels so that screen readers can navigate the content in a logical order.
-
Provided descriptive alternative text for images that carry meaning, and marked purely decorative images so that assistive technology skips them.
-
Tested colour combinations for contrast. Our palette is deliberately high-contrast: near-black on white, and white on near-black.
-
Made the site navigable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
-
Written link text that makes sense out of context, rather than relying on “click here”.
-
Built the site to reflow on small screens and to remain readable when text is enlarged to 200 per cent.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following, and are working on them:
-
Some magazine covers and archive images reproduce printed text within the image. Alternative text describes the title and subject, but does not transcribe every word on the cover.
-
Certain third-party components embedded in the site, including social media feeds and any embedded video, are not fully within our control and may not meet Level AA.
-
Some decorative typography is set at display sizes that assume a wide viewport. On narrow screens the visual hierarchy is preserved but the effect is reduced.
Technical basis
The site is built on Wix Studio and relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is designed to work with current versions of common browsers and with screen readers including NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. Accessibility depends in part on those technologies being supported by the browser and assistive technology you use.
How we assess the site
We assess accessibility by self-evaluation, combining automated testing with manual keyboard and screen reader checks. We review the site whenever we make a substantial change to it, and in any event annually. We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party audit, and will say so here when we do.
Tell us where we fall short
If you encounter a barrier on this site, or you need something we publish in an alternative format, please tell us. We treat accessibility feedback as a priority.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within five working days and to tell you what we intend to do about it, and by when, within 20 working days. Where a fix will take longer, we will offer the content to you in another form in the meantime.

Wider commitment
Our obligations under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 inform how we approach this site, and we take the same view of our printed and event work. If you are attending an event we are producing and have an access requirement, tell us in advance and we will accommodate it wherever we can.
